The ICC-GC Board of Directors cordially invites the ICC-GC community and supporters to the eighth and final lecture of the Fall 2024Spring 2025 ICC-GC Annual Lecture Series, planned and organized by the ICC-GC Annual Lectures Committee.

Lecture Title:
Srat al-Kahf: The Issues of Good and Evil

Speaker:
Neji ben Hadj Tahar, Ph.D.
Dr. Neji studied mathematics, physics, and chemistry at the University of the Center in Monastir, Tunisia, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in physics. After teaching physics and chemistry at Ksar Hellal High School, he moved to Canada to continue his education. There, he earned a Masters degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Quebec in Montreal.

He later pursued studies in sociology at the same university, earning a Ph.D. in Sociology with distinction. His doctoral dissertation focused on the rise and fall of civilizations, in which he analyzed and expanded the Khaldunian model on this topic.

Dr. Neji moved from Canada to the United States to work as a software engineer and is currently an IT consultant in Chicago. His research interests include Quranic studies and the philosophy of history, and he has published a book on the subject with Dar Al-Fikr in Damascus, titled "Man and the Quran: Landmarks of the Science of Direction." He frequently lectures on these topics at international conferences.

He resides in the United States, is married, and has three children
