New SRVIC Building Update & Invitation to Sponsor
Assalamu Alaikum.
Alhamdulillah, were excited to share progress on the new SRVIC building. A property manager has been hired, repairs are underway by the seller, and weve welcomed our first Muslim-owned business tenant. Were also working with the city to create a Community Space on the 1st floor that will serve as a prayer area during the day for tenants and host Family Nights, classes, and events in the evenings and weekends.
As you may recall, the building was purchased through $3.5M in donations, $3.5M in community investments, and a $2M seller carry at 0% interest. Over the next few years, growing revenue is key to paying back investors and the seller.
To help accelerate this, part of the 3rd floor is being developed into a Muslim Co-Working Space, with individual desks and private suites (412 people) available for rent. All the income will go directly toward reducing our communitys financial obligations, creating a circular economy where every dollar spent strengthens SRVIC.
To launch the space, we need to furnish it with high quality commercial office desks, chairs, and other essentials. We invite you to sponsor specific items through a tax-deductible donation. We will handle the purchasing, and_inshAllah_, with your support will generate an ongoing income for SRVIC for years to come.
