The Muslim Community Association is committed to ensuring that our campus is a peaceful and safe environment for our families, for every member of our community young and old, and for every visiting guest. The mosque is a sacred space and should be given respect as not only a community center but also as a place of worship.

If the 10% quorum requirement is not met, the Joint Session of the Boards will nevertheless deliberate on agenda items that are to be voted on, except those requiring a special majority vote as is stated in the constitution.
The Executive Board, the Board of Trustees, and the Granada Islamic SchoolBoard will presenttheir Annual Plans and seek community input.

30 Years of Service
In the heart of our community, a transformation is taking place. The MCA Store, a beloved nonprofit bookstore established in 1995, is undergoing a remarkable revival. For nearly three decades, this institution has been more than just a place to buy booksit has been a cornerstone of community support and a champion of independent businesses. The MCA Store's relaunch is more than just a renovation; it's a renewal of our commitment to knowledge, culture, and community. We look forward to welcoming you to this exciting new chapter in our story.
The Bookstore will be temporarily located across the hall during renovation.

Weekly Book Study:
The Life of the Prophet Muhammad
When: Saturday, November 16th 10:30 am to 12:00 pm (every Saturday)
What: Embark on a weekly book study of The Life of the Prophet Muhammad by Leila Azzam & Aisha Gouverneur to learn the chronology of the life of the Prophet . This useful introduction to the Seerah draws on traditional Islamic biographical literature, including Hadith, and uses passages from the Qur'an throughout to reinforce the stories.

New Sisters Social

What: Find support and sisterhood with new Muslim sisters in a safe and welcoming judgment-free space. Those interested in Islam are also welcome!
This month's special social gathering is for new Muslim sisters to share their journey with prayer. Connect with others as we discuss personal experiences and exchange tips and advice on learning to pray effectively. We will also have some prayer mats and clothing available for those who need them. This is a welcoming space to deepen your understanding and strengthen your practice. Come share your story and gain new insights!

Youth Tarbiyah Sessions
Homeschooling youth ages 10-18, youth with special needs mild/moderate are welcome!
Where: MCA offers weekly Tarbiyah classes for Muslim youth on Fridays after the first Jummah prayer. This class is geared towards homeschooling youth ages 10-18 including those with special needs mild-moderate.

Al-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyya: Also known as The Shama'il, this book is a collection of hadiths that describe the Prophet Muhammad's life, including his physical appearance, manners, and belongings. The book was compiled by the 9th-century scholar Imam al-Tirmidhi. Some say that understanding the Shama'il is a prerequisite to understanding Islam and the Prophet's life.
