The Memphis Islamic Center is excited to announce a key addition to our leadership team as part of our ongoing commitment to drive the organization forward and to serving our community with excellence and vision.
We are proud to welcome Tayyab Yunus as our new Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). In this role, he will work closely with the Board of Trustees, Executive Director, Religious Leadership, and staff to further our mission and enhance the services we provide to our community. This will include identifying strategic direction, enhancing governance and operational capacity, and increasing community support & engagement.
This appointment reflects our board's dedication to professionalizing our operations and ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our community with integrity and trust.

Tayyab Yunus Bio:
Tayyab Yunus is the founder and principle of Intuitive Solutions, where he currently serves as the Dean of the Intuitive Institute and Chief of Nonprofit Strategy of Intuitive Consulting. He is adjunct faculty at Indiana University’s Lilly School of Philanthropy, Visiting Faculty at Bayan Graduate School, and the President of the Center on Muslim Philanthropy. He holds an MBA from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is a candidate for Doctorate Business Administration at Walden University (2023).
Tayyab is a Social Entrepreneur and Educator. He dreams of a better world brought to life by individuals and institutions who practice a People > Profit lifestyle philosophy and by high performing individuals and institutions from the social good sector.
Fueled by his life mission to improve the human condition, Tayyab has been providing strategic guidance to both Profit and Non-profit organizations for over 20 years. Tayyab is an expert at “getting things done” with excellence by creating strategy around a shared vision, assembling champion lead teams, driving innovation, facilitating execution, and empowering tactics for any size job.
