Speaking up for Palestine: lessons learned
ICCWG will be hosting Dr. Kamran Riaz. He is a native of the Chicagoland area. Before high school, he completed the memorization of the Qur'an in 9 months at the Institute of Islamic Education. After college, he obtained a doctorate of medicine degree from the UIC College of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology training soon afterwards.
Dr. Riaz has been a student at Darul Qasim under Shaykh Amin since 2000. He is a frequent khateeb and speaker in the American Muslim community. He is the author of a recently published book, "Concerning Divine Wisdom in the Creation of Man", a translation and commentary of an original Arabic treatise by the renowned scholar, Hujjat al-Islam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali. Please join to spend the 15th night of Shabaan with Dr. Riaz.
This is the night of the 15th of Shabaan and there will be Ibada, Dhaka and Quran recitation led by Imam Basheer after Isha.

Laylat ul Bara
Join us at MYCP for a potluck Iftar for Laylat ul Bara and bring a dish to share, as we give life to the Night of Salvation or the Night of Freedom from the Fire of Hell. Also known as Nisf Sha’ban (because it falls in the middle of the month of Sha’ban), this marks a night on which we pray to Allah for forgiveness. (The name translates into English as “Night of Forgiveness.”) It is on this night, that Allah fixes our destiny for the upcoming year.

MYCP is hosting a bazaar with a variety of small Muslim businesses this Ramadan to help you shop locally and find everything you need to prepare for this blessed season. Clothes, henna, jewelry, perfumes, artwork, decorations, and much more will be available for sale!

The Islamic Cultural Center of Willow Grove is a proud member of Abington Area Interfaith Partners focusing on interfaith work. We join with our neighbors for a week of learning about the diverse faiths and traditions of those around us. Each of these events present an opportunity to learn about our neighbors

Morning Prayer for Gaza 2024
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in the authentic narration that the obligatory prayer in congregation is better than an individual prayer by twenty 27 times.
