This du'a is enough.

Last Friday before Ramadan

Jumuah Mubarak to our dear brothers and sisters.

Today is the last Friday before the long-awaited and much yearned for month of Ramadan graces our hearts and homes. A month when the gates of Hellfire are closed and the gates of Paradise are flung open.

In our 2022 Ramadan session on "How to Achieve Salvation in Ramadan", Ustadh Meurad imparts invaluable wisdom, emphasizing that if we were to have just one du'a (supplication) answered in that we are freed from the Hellfire, it would suffice.

There is a beautiful hadith that speaks to this.

When the believer who has witnessed so much sorrow, so much loss, and so many hardships in the dunya (worldly life) is for but a moment in Jannah (Paradise), he will be asked,

O son of Adam, did you see any hardship? Did you have any distress? He will say: No, by Allah, my Lord! I did not once see hardship ordistress

Sahih Muslim 2807

All traces of the fierce storms and trials that broke us down will be wiped clean from our memories. Simply from a brief moment in Jannah.

Imagine the serenity of such a moment, and now contemplate an eternity in Jannah. SubhanAllah!

Conversely, the nonbeliever, despite a life filled with pleasures, will briefly experience Jahannum's (Hell) torment, erasing any memory of the worldly joys.

O son of Adam, did you see any good? Did you get any blessing?

He will say: No, by Allah, my Lord!

Take the reality of Jahannum and Jannah clearly as Ustadh Meurad sincerely reminds us.

So, if we were to only have this one dua,Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter and save us from the punishment of the Hellfire, then it would be enough of a blessing.

Transliteration: Rabbana atina fid dunya hasanatan wa fil Aakhirati hasanatan waqina adhaban-nar

Bukhari andMuslim

In the month where the Most Merciful liberates souls from the Hellfire each night at iftar, seize this opportune blessing. And know that despite your faults and sins, it can never be greater than His mercy.

O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy ofAllah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful

Quran 39:53

So, seeker of good, come near as Ramadan comes to warmly embrace us our souls (Tirmidhi 682).

We are uncertain if this will be our last Ramadan. Let us earnestly strive to attain its blessings and salvation starting now.

May our iman flourish, allowing us to witness and emerge from Ramadan better than before, securing eternal salvation, in sha Allah.

Last Jumuah Before Ramadan

How will you bless this last Friday before the gates of Jannah are open in Ramadan?

M.E.C.C.A. uniquely serves a critical need of providing authentic knowledge of Islam to allwho humbly and sincerely seek it, to those who are isolated and have to hide their new faith from others, and to those who don't have the right support and resources to turn to. Be the reason for someone's hopeand conviction in Islam.

As our beloved Prophet reminds us, the best day to give sadaqa is Friday.

No amount is ever too little as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, urges us to give to prevent calamity even if it was half adate.

Let your gift of charity bless you with the best in this life and the next. Ameen.

Bless this Jumuah with sadaqa
