Khutbah at 1pm
Jumuah Mubarak to our dearbrothers and sisters!
Join us as we rediscover the beautiful pearls of wisdoms from our Ramadan programming in our Jumuah emails starting with Ustadh Tariq's Softening the Heart and implement its lessons in our lives.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) taught us, through his beloved wife Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), to engage in heartfelt dua(supplication) during Laylatul Qadr. Not just prayer, but sincere, earnest dua was emphasized as the key to attaining the unparalleled blessings of this night.
Ustadh Tariq notes how this profound guidance underscores the immense power and beauty of du'a.
O Allah, You are pardoning. You love to forgive, so forgiveme.
Tirmidhi 3513
This du'a is a reminder of who Allah is.
Allahs mercy is limitless, beyond human comprehension, and one of its most exquisite manifestations is His ability to forgive and completely erase oursins. Imagine the overwhelming relief and joy in knowing that Allahs forgiveness is so complete, it is as if the sin never existed.
As humans, we grapple with the challenge of fully forgiving and forgetting when wronged, but not Allah. He can grant such perfect and effortless forgiveness as if it never happened. SubhanAllah!
Moreover, when we falter, the angels, by Allahs command, delay recording our sins, eagerly waiting to see if we will turn back to Him in repentance. Who else but Allah can be so vastly merciful and patient?
Yet, sometimes, we may think of Allah the Exalted as a stern judge, but as believers, our relationship with Him should balance both hope and fear.Ustadh Tariq reminds us that we shouldn't forget the reality - no matter the severity of our sins, Allah can and is willing to pardon as long as we don't associate partners with Him.
"O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it."
Hadith Qudsi
What else does this du'a tell us about our Almighty Creator? That He loves to forgive.
As Ustadh Tariq beautifully reminds us, "never be too shy to ask." One can even make du'a in theirheart.
In moments of need and beyond, bring yourself to Allah with your supplications, for we have a Lord who loves to be asked, who guides us to supplicate, and whose mercy is boundless. Embrace the power of dua, seek His forgiveness, and bask in the comfort of knowing that He is Al 'Afuw - The Pardoner.
