Your heart seeks the Divine.

Jumuah Mubarak to our dear brothers and sisters.

In life, we persistently crave peace. A moment of stillness, of calm, of rest, ofserenity.

This yearning for peace from within you is constant.

Why? Your heart fervently seeks the Divine.

Allah is Al Salaam (Peace). Not only does He graciously bestows peace in our lives in its many formsevident in ourrelationships with loved ones, in the beauty of nature, and in the abundance of blessingsbut He is, in essence, the very Source of Peace.

From Him and Him alone comes forth peace.

Ibn Qayyim tells us that within our hearts lies "a strong desire that will not cease until He is the only one who issought. In it is a void that cannot be filled except by His love, turning to Him, always remembering Him, and being sincere to Him. Were a person to be given the entire world and everything in it, that would never fill the void."

Is your soul seeking peace? Turn to Al Salaam.

Allah has given us the means to thepath of tranquility. Everything He has prescribed for us was made to bestow us with peace: our daily prayers, fasting, giving charity, reading Qur'an, doing good, and so much more.

There is effort and struggle involved but nothing worth having is come by easily. Affirm and realize that His commands ultimately will lead to peace, because He is the Source of Peace.

Allah the Exalted has given us

"a light and Clear Book through which Allah guides those who seek His pleasure to the ways of peace, brings them out of darkness and into light by His Will, and guides them to the Straight Path".

Qur'an 5:15-16

Remember Allah often and with a mindful heart. Pray, do dhikr, and supplicate.

"Surely in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort."  Qur'an 13:28

And, what is the ultimatereward for the believer? Paradise where peace and bliss is permanent and true.

May our greeting on the Day we meet Allah be "Peace!" Ameen.

"O believers! Always remember Allah often, and glorify Him morning and evening. He is the One Who showers His blessings upon youand His angels pray for youso that He maybring you out of darkness and into light. For He is ever Merciful to the believers. Their greeting on the Day they meet Him will be, 'Peace!' And He has prepared for them an honorable reward."

Qur'an 33:41-44

Be the reason for someone's hope and conviction in Islam.

Did you know in 2023we provided 39 bookbags with English Qur'ans, prayer rugs, prayer books, and more (value of $60)? All for free for New Muslims Program students.

Please consider donating to M.E.C.C.A. so that we may continue to provide authentic knowledge of Islam to all who humbly and sincerely seek it, to those who are isolated and have to hide their new faith from others, and to thosewho don't have the right support and resources to turn to.
