Jumuah Mubarak

Jumuah Mubarak to our dearbrothers and sisters!

Join us as we rediscover the beautiful pearls of wisdoms from our Ramadan programming in our Jumuah emails starting with Ustadh Tariq's Softening the Heart and implement its lessons in our lives.

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

AllahAlmighty said: My love is assured for those who love each other for My sake, who sit together for My sake, who visit each other for My sake, and who spend on each other for My sake.

Musnad Ahmad 22030

Have you ever loved someone purely for the sake ofAllah?

In our lives, we are surrounded by relationships and obligations that require our love and care. Sometimes, we may even struggle to find the strength to love those who have a right upon us. It can be challenging when misunderstandings, past hurts, or differences create barriers. How do we find the strength to love them despite these challenges?

This beautiful hadith is the means to help us. It guides us to root our love for others in our love for the Almighty Creator. By loving for the sake of Allah, we transcend these obstacles, opening our hearts to compassion and understanding that is not limited by human imperfections.

With those that you don't have the most ideal relationship with, it'simportant to remember that you don't need to put yourself in harm's way. You can still love them without having to necessarily carry hate and enmity towards them while keeping yourself safe from their possible harm.

When we love others for the sake of Allah, we are in turn loved by Allah the Exalted for such actions. As Ustadh Tariq explains, this is an indication of His mercy and forgiveness upon us.Alhamdulillah.

The hadith also clarifies for us on how to deal with love not just when it is difficult to love someone but also when you overly love someone. There are times when someone becomes so beloved to us that it exceeds the love we have for Allah the Exalted. What happens if that person was to pass away?

This is one ofthe most difficult tests in life to have to undergo. Would it not test the very core of our faith?

Ustadh Tariq explains that if this loss shakes your iman and relationship with Allah the Exalted, it is a sign that your love for them is greater than your love for Him.

Our love for others should alwaysbe grounded in our love for Allah the Exalted. This will keep us balanced and firm with Allah the Exalted without placing anyone above Him. It also helps us cope with the passing of a loved one, as we understand that the separation is only temporary.
