Du'a of Intercession

Jumuah Mubarak to our dear brothers and sisters.

As the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, pondered upon his own ummah (nation),he was moved to tears, raising his hands to Allah the Exalted and beseeching, "O Allah, my ummah! My ummah**!**"

Allah, in His vast mercy, reassured the Prophet through Jibril, saying, "Verily, We will please you regarding your nation, and We will not disappoint you" (Sahih Muslim 202).

Each Prophet was granted a request through their du'a (supplication)-

  • Ibrahim asked for "a messenger who will recite to them Your revelations, teach them the Book and wisdom, and purify them" (Qur'an 2:129), and the Prophet was a result of that du'a
  • Musa (Moses) prayed for the downfall ofFirawn (Pharaoh)
  • Sulayman (Solomon) asked for dominion and control over unprecedented things

Yet, the Beloved Prophet made a du'a for us, not for this world but reserved for the next - the greatest du'a ever.

Onthe Day of Judgment, when humanity gathers for accountability, the Prophet's voice will resonate among the masses: "O Allah, my ummah! My ummah!

Allah will grant him the blessing of intercession exclusively for us.

The Prophet's poignant pleas on behalf of the ummah, persisting even for thosewith the most delicate threads of faith, paint a vivid picture of his unparalleled intercession and profound love for us.

Can you fathom a faith so delicate that it's measured by the weight of a mustard seed?

On Judgment Day, Allah will command ProphetMuhammad , to retrieve from Hell all with faith, even as small as a barley grain. The Prophet , in tears, will cry, "O Allah, my ummah! My ummah!"

Again commanded, he'll save those with faith like an ant or mustard seed, repeating, "O Allah, my ummah! My ummah!"

Once more directed, he'll rescue those with the lightest mustard seed of faith. Returning, he'll plead, "'O Lord, let me intercede for those who said, 'None has the right to be worshipped except Allah.''

Allah will respond, "By My Power, Majesty, Supremacy, and Greatness, I will save whoever said: 'None has the right to be worshipped exceptAllah.'"

Sahih Bukhari 7510

As we move through this year, let us cherish his du'a for us until our last breath. Foster genuine love for the Beloved Prophet .

Learn his seerah(biography) and follow his Sunnah (prophetic traditions) so that, when the Hour comes, we may be among those whom we love.

"Say, O Prophet, 'If you sincerely love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive your sins. For Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.'"

Qur'an3:31

May He accept our good deeds and intentions on this Jumuah and throughout the year, serving as a source of eternal reward, and grant us the highest ranks in Paradise without reckoning. Ameen.
