Give sadaqa on last Jumuah of 2024
Jumuah Mubarak to our dear brothers and sisters.
The end of the year can be a bit unsettling.
Even though the new year isn't the start of the Islamic one, we still tend to have mixed emotions about it. How are you feeling about the last 12 months?
At times, the impulse to procure a new planner or notebook emerges, as if the choice of stationery could shape the forthcoming year, catalyzing transformative shifts withinus.
A glimmer of hope whispers that we will engage in a bit more of this and a bit less of that.
Isn't that the essence of the gift of time? Time affords us opportunity.
Yet, amid the contemplation of personal goals, let's not overlook our deen (religion) and iman (faith). Where do they stand in this narrative?
Islam is not just simply a religion. Islam is a way of life.
It should permeate our decisions, shape our perspectives, and define our character. Its teachings and practices are meant to be interwoven into thevery fabric of our daily existence.
Allah has bestowed upon us timean invaluable asset that presents a golden opportunity with every breath. It invites us to work on refining ourselves into better Muslims and servants for Him, our families, our communities, and the world at large.
Do good deeds in the time that you have and take advantage of the moments of gentle breeze from the mercy of Allah."
al-Mujam al-Kabir 719
We'renot here for a long time in this dunya (worldly life) so do the most with the time that you do have.
So, as you sit down to write down those goals, make them relative to this beautiful faith.
We humbly invite you to join our classes this January and start 2024 off strong. Registration will be opening this weekend so sit tight.
