Jumuah Mubarak to our dear brothers and sisters.

"He is inviting you in order to forgive your sins..." - Qur'an14:10

The Qur'an - the source of healing - abounds in the number of times our Lord's forgiveness and mercy is mentioned. He wants you to forgive. He invites you to forgive. He will forgive over and over. He forgives all sins.

All of this to remind us of who He is. Al Ghafur - the MostForgiving

Even if our sins fill the depths of the oceans, encircle the earth, or rise to the heights of the heavens, Allah the Exalted does not mind.

Allah, Blessed is He and Most High, said: O son of Adam! Verily as long as you called upon Me and hoped in Me, I forgave you, despite whatever may have occurred from you, and I did not mind. O son of Adam! Were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky, then you sought forgiveness from Me, I would forgive you, and I would not mind. So son of Adam! If you came to me with sins nearly as great as the earth, and then you met Me not associating anything with Me, I would come to you with forgiveness nearly as great as it.

Let this assurance fill your heart with hope and ignite your determination to seek His boundless mercy especially on the magnificent 15th night of Sha'ban - this Saturday night.

Allah looks down at His creation on the middle night of Shaban and He forgives all of Hiscreatures, except for an idolater or one filled with malice**.**

Sahih Ibn Hibban 5665

What is taking space in your heart? It's vital to cleanse our hearts of any lingering resentment. Holding onto grudges can erode our faith. Look no further than the story of Iblis(Shaytan/Satan), who let hatred and his ego cloud his devotion to Allah the Exalted.

We look to our Beloved Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who has been through such palpable pain and hardship at the hands of others and yet he rose above that. This is our example.

Don't deprive yourself of the gift of thisdivine night. Take the opportunity to rectify now before the Day of Judgment where we will feel the intense weight of regret asking "why didn't I get over my ego?".

Allah underscores the importance of reconciliation in a Hadith Qudsi, reminding us that entry to Paradise may be delayed between us and our brother until conflicts are resolved.

"It will be said: Delay these two until they reconcile, delay these two until they reconcile, delay these two until they reconcile."

Sahih Muslim 2565

Don't let bitterness obscure your path to eternal happiness. Is holding onto anger truly worthit?

Empty your heart before Ramadan to fill it instead with the love for Allah, His Messenger, and the Qur'an. This is more worthy of your heart.

As long as we have breath in our lungs, we are mercifully given the opportunity to seek His forgiveness. May the 15th of Sha'ban bestow us with a clean slate, pavingthe way for a rejuvenated start as we approach the sacred month of Ramadan. SubhanAllah!

May Allah grant us the ability to forgive others and remove barriers to His pleasure. May we also find forgiveness from those we have wronged, knowingly or unknowingly. Ameen.

What to do for the 15th: Though there are nospecific rituals prescribed for this special day, it is encouraged to fast and dedicate time to acts of worship throughout the night. Please note that this is also a night when du'a (supplication) is not rejected.

Surah Ya Sin is typically recited during this night. Find the Arabic, translation and transliteration here from Muwasala.
