Daily Ramadan Livestreams on Youtube at 6pm EDT

Ramadan 2024

Tonight will be the 27th Night for those following the moon sighting. It is a night that has the most amount of weight in being Laylatul Qadr. Don't miss out on the goodness of this night where your one gooddeed can fill a lifespan.

Be sure to give charity in gratitude for being able to witness these blessed nights. With the upcoming solar eclipse and the past earthquakes in New York and New Jersey, there isno better way to avert calamity: Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity. [Tirmidhi]

The gift of knowledge can soften hearts to Islam and bring them from disbelief like this student who benefitted from our classes: My iman has increased immensely.I believe now with greater certitude.

Knowledge can save lives. Knowledge is sadaqa jariya.

Will you help? Our Launchgood is only 50% to goal.

Give on the 27th Night

Reminders for 27th Night: Take advantage!

These are just a few acts of worship that you can do for the night. And remember, actions areby their intentions. You can make any good action into an act of worship with your intention of pleasing Allah the Exalted.

Pray at the Mosque

Pray Isha and Fajr incongregation

  • "Whoever attends Isha (prayer) in congregation, then he has (the reward as if he had) stood half of the night. And whoever prays Isha and Fajr in congregation, then he has (the reward as if he had) spend the entire night standing (in prayer)." [Jami` at-Tirmidhi 221]

Pray with the Imam until he leaves

  • Finish the prayer including tarawih and witr: "If a man prays with the Imam until he leaves, that will be continued for him as if he spent the whole night inprayer." [Sunan an-Nasa'i 1364]
Quran

Ramadan is when the Quran was revealed to humanity. So, devotetime to reciting the Book of Allah.

Even listening to the Quran is rewarded!

"Whoeverlistens to a verse from the Book of Allah Almighty will have a multiplied reward. Whoever recites a verse will have a light on the Day of Resurrection."

Musnad Ahmad 8494

Dhikr and Dua

Dhikr (remembrances of Allah) and dua (supplication) can be done pretty much anywhere and while one is engaged in other things, i.e. walking, driving, cleaning.

Sisters excused from prayer: You can turn to doing dhikr and dua abundantly to fill the night with your worship.

Best Dhikr

  • Recite tahlil which is to say La ilaha illAllah [Sunan al-Tirmidhi 3383]. Check out this heart soothing recording to follow along for 1 hour.

Best Dua

  • Recite the one below as instructed to us by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.
  • To make the dua for the Ummah (Muslim community) simply say 'anna instead of 'anni.
  • You canrecite in English as well but there is more reward to do so in Arabic.
  • Two of the best times to make dua is during prostration of the prayer (must recite it in Arabic) or in the last third of the night.

Check out our checklist for 4 other beautiful duas to read during the night such as the Master Supplication of Forgiveness. Download here.
