Upcoming Ramadan Programming
Jumuah Mubarak to our dear brothers and sisters.
How are you approaching this month of Sha'ban?
Often overshadowed by the revered months of Rajab and Ramadan, Sha'ban is unfortunately overlooked by many. With the absence of explicit requirements to excel or exert oneself during this time, many become heedless and neglectful.
Yet, it is precisely during times of collective negligence that the rewards and blessings aremagnified!
Engaging in acts of goodness and striving for spiritual excellence (ihsan) when others pay little to no attention increases their virtue and beauty in the eyes of the Divine. Just look at the rewards of the night prayer (tahajjud) to realize the beauty of going beyond the expectations set.
Sha'ban holds a special place in the teachings of our Beloved Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who described it as a
"...month in which deeds are raised to the Lord of the worlds, and I like for my deeds to be raised while I am fasting"
Sunan al-Nasai2357
In addition to the annual raising of deeds, there is another magnificent event in Shaban that occurs halfway through.
Allah looks down at His creation on the middle night of Shaban and He forgives all of His creatures, except for an idolater or one filled withmalice**.**
Sahih Ibn Hibban 5665
On the 15th of Sha'ban, should Allah Almighty grant us the precious gift of forgiveness, we embark on a journey with a clean slate, paving the way for a rejuvenated start as we approach the sacred month of Ramadan.SubhanAllah!
With less than a month until Ramadan unfolds, let us organize our affairs and make preparations now to reap the abundant rewards that lie ahead. Similar to diligently studying for a test, success in Ramadan necessitates early groundwork. Seize the opportunity provided by Sha'ban to infuse your time with blessings.
Elevate your commitment to fasting, delve deeper into Qur'an recitation, and engage in night prayers (tahajjud) with increased devotion.
Regardless of the specific act of worship (ibadah) you choose, commence with modest steps to foster consistency.
"Take up good deeds only as much as you are able, for the best deeds are those done regularly even if they are few."
Sunan Ibn Majah 4240
May this month of Shaban witness your earnest efforts and excellence in acts of worship, earning the pleasure of Allah the Exalted. May He bestow upon you a pristine record before the arrival of Ramadan. Ameen.

Give on this blessed Jumuah
Be the reason for someone's hope and conviction in Islam.
Did you know in 2023we provided 81 classes for free?
That's a value of over $4,000 to students who wished to pursue knowledge without any financial hardship.
Please consider donating to M.E.C.C.A. so that we may continue to provide authentic knowledgeof Islam to all who humbly and sincerely seek it, to those who are isolated and have to hide their new faith from others, and to those who don't have the right support and resources to turn to.
No amount is ever too little as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, urges us to give to prevent calamity even if it was half a date.
Let your gift of charity bless you with the best in this life and the next. Ameen.
I want to give on Jumuah to spread knowledge of Islam
