As we embark on the sacred journey of Ramadan, we hope this message finds you and your loved ones in the best health and Iman.

With heartfelt gratitude and anticipation, we seek your continued support for MCC East Bay during this blessed month.

We humbly request your support on behalf of MCC to reach this years fundraising goals.

Donate Zakat to MCC

Ramadan is a time of immense mercy, blessings, and spiritual elevation. It is a month where our deeds are magnified, our prayers are answered, and our hearts are filled with gratitude. Among the virtues of Ramadan is the particular emphasis on giving and generosity, as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Ibn Abbass said that Allahs messenger was the most generous of all the people, and he used to reach the peak in generosity in the month of Ramadan when Jibriel met him. Jibril met him every night during Ramadan to teach him the Quran. Allahs messenger was the most generous person, even more generous (faster) than the strong uncontrollable wind (in readiness and haste to do charitable deeds).

This Hadith serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of giving during Ramadan, particularly in its first third, to attain the boundless mercy of Allah. During this time, our actions are multiplied, our supplications are heard, and our generosity is rewarded manifold.

Where We'll Need Your Support This Ramadan

At MCC East Bay, your generous donations are vital for our sadaqa/operations, building, and Zakat funds.

The Operations Fund supports all our day-to-day activities, including all the costs to maintain the facility, salaries of our hardworking staff, and community events and programs. This year, our Operations Fund is nearly depleted. We'll ask each of you for your support in this area.

All contributions to Building Fund are for expanding our facilities to accommodate the growing needs of our community. We have started the long-awaited outside work, including a play area, basketball court, and picnic areas. InshAllah, we will provide a detailed briefing on our plans and expected completion dates during Ramadan.

The Zakat Fund provides financial assistance to community members in need, particularly in helping refugees settle in their first apartments; it offers rental assistance for those struggling with housing costs, supports our food pantry to ensure food security for those facing hunger, and provides car donations for single mothers, victims of domestic violence, and refugees. Our Zakat needs to increase each year. We are counting on your help to continue to support local families.

In addition to these funds, we have a special request for our community.

Our Tri-Valley community partner, the Islamic Center of Livermore (ICL), purchased a church and school property. MCC has committed to providing ICL $300,000 through a Qarde-Hasana (goodly loan) and donations. If you wish to donate, please use the ICL Purchase donation category. This way, we can keep track of the MCC contribution to ICL and meet our commitment to them. Donations via the ICL button below go directly to this community purchase.
