Arts & Crafts Summer Camp

For Children Ages 5-10: Over the summer, join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a weekly summer camp led by Sr. Emira Mustafa.

Each week, children will engage in an Islamic theme with crafts, storytimes, and discussions.

This a great opportunity for children to have fun with their peers while learning about Islam!

Kids & Youth Islamic Summer Camp

For Boys & Girls Ages 5-16: Join former professional basketball over three weeks for a kid's camp that will strengthen your childs Deen through play, education, arts, and physical activities. 

We will have the Names of Allah series, outdoor games, a nature activity, arts and crafts, sports, snacks, and more!

On Wednesday, a few community members came together to prepare and pack around a hundred boxes of hot meals at MCC for distribution to the homeless in Oakland. The folks at the camp were happy to receive a healthy meal package that included fruits, water, and even cake! Insha'Allah, this is the first of many!

Qurbani/Udhiya for East Bay Needy Families

During the Eid al-Adha holiday, MCC East Bay accepts Qurbani meat cut in stew size and placed in clear plastic bags. MCC will distribute amongst the 250+ Zakat-eligible families that our Food Pantry serves.

Please drop it off anytime on until Friday, June 28. No staff person needs to be on-site to accept the meat.

Drop-off Days & Times:

Wednesdays & Thursdays - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Fridays - 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During these hours, please come directly to the MCC kitchen and leave the bagged meat in the MCC kitchen freezer (glass refrigerator/metal freezer). If you are not familiar with the facility, here is the facility map: HTTP://mcceastbay.org/facility-map

Volunteers Needed to Fix & Tune Up Bikes

Do you know how to fix or tune-up a bike, or do you have the skills to look up how to do so online? 

The MCC-SRVIC bike program welcomes volunteers of any skill level. It is 100% volunteer-run and depends on volunteers' generous efforts.

Your role as a volunteer will be defined by your specific skills and interests, and we regularly have volunteer tasks that require no mechanical experience.

To date, we have donated more than 500 bicycles to refugees and deserving families in the East Bay.

After-School Qur'an Classes

Registration is now open

MCC's Qur'an program accommodates learners from beginner to Hifz and restarts this Fall, both in-person and online. Classes start Sept. 3, 2024.

The MCC Quran program team works hard each day to bring you Quran classes taught by professional educators in order to bring the Book of Allah into your life, as well as into the lives of your children.

After-School Arabic Classes

Registration is now open

For Children Ages 5 to 12: Enrollment for our after-school Arabic classes is now open for Fall '24 beginning this September.

This after-school program teaches kids to use Arabic effectively for reading, writing, comprehension, and conversation.

Registration is first come, first served. Returning parents receive priority for this popular program.
