For Sisters 16+! This Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., join Ustadha Shamira Chothia Ahmed (a female scholar, certified birth doula, and childbirth educator) for a full-day workshop to learn Islamic insights on the spirituality and fiqh of pregnancy, labor, and after birth.
This course is open to all pregnant women or those who want to learn more about this incredible journey of pregnancy and beyond.

Monthly Qur'an Khatam & Fajr Gathering

- Shazia Ashraf (Pleasanton): Her cousin, Hamda Nazeer Ahmed, was blessed with a newborn baby this week who is suffering from breathing complications.

During the three MCC Jumuah services earlier this month, the Valley Humane Society of Pleasanton brought twelve furry felines that needed a loving home. By the end of the day, six of them had found a loving family in our congregation! Our deepest gratitude to the Valley Humane staff for bringing smiles and joy to our community!
Qurbani/Udhiya for East Bay Needy Families
During the Eid al-Adha holiday, MCC East Bay accepts Qurbani meat cut in stew size and placed in clear plastic bags. MCC will distribute amongst the 250+ Zakat-eligible families that our Food Pantry serves.
Please drop it off anytime until Isha on Sunday, June 30. No staff person needs to be on-site to accept the meat.
Drop-off Days & Times:
Wednesdays & Thursdays - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Fridays - 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Volunteers Needed
Young Muslimahs Summer Camp
The Young Muslimahs Summer Camp offered by The Rahmah Foundation is coming up in July, and we are currently looking for female volunteers/teacher assistants to help with the camp.
We are looking for:
One volunteer for the Frogs and Bunnies group. The volunteer can be as young as 13 and have experience with Pre-K/K grade levels.
One volunteer for the 1-5th slot to help fund the Islamic Station. The preference is 16+ years old.
Two assistants for the 6th through 8th grade group. Age preference is 18+
One assistant for the 9th through 12th grade group. Age preference is 20+

Survey for Support Group for Family Caregivers @ MCC
To increase awareness and programming for aging Muslims, the Caregiver Support team plans to start a monthly support group for family caregivers of older adults at MCC East Bay in the Fall of '24.
The team would like to gauge interest before they can plan these meetings. Please fill out the survey here.
Anyone who is a caretaker for an aging family member (60+) is welcome to fill out the survey.

After-School Qur'an Classes
Registration is now open
MCC's Qur'an program accommodates learners from beginner to Hifz and restarts this Fall, both in-person and online. Classes start Sept. 3, 2024.
The MCC Quran program team works hard each day to bring you Quran classes taught by professional educators in order to bring the Book of Allah into your life, as well as into the lives of your children.

After-School Arabic Classes
Registration is now open
For Children Ages 5 to 12: Enrollment for our after-school Arabic classes is now open for Fall '24 beginning this September.
This after-school program teaches kids to use Arabic effectively for reading, writing, comprehension, and conversation.
Registration is first come, first served. Returning parents receive priority for this popular program.
