City of Chicago Cease Fire Resolution Passes

The Muslim Community Center of Chicago (MCC) commends City of Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson for his historic tie-breaking vote in support of the resolution for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Chicago is now the largest city to pass an immediate ceasefire resolution.

MCC would like to acknowledge the 23 Alderpersons who voted in favor of this resolution, the organizations who spent countless hours to bring awareness and education regarding the issues, and those who took time to call and otherwise reach out to their respective alderpersons.
