MAPS is Hiring a Community Manager!
Job Summary:
The Community Manager at MAPS: This position is responsible for the consistency and growth of MAPS volunteer programs. This includes enabling and guiding volunteers and their committees, creating sustainable and repeatable processes for committee operations, and also MAPS event coordination. You are someone who builds connections with people, loves to see the community come together and you do what it takes to see it all come together.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Management:

Responsible for the consistency and growth of MAPS volunteer programs

Empower and support volunteers, facilitating their involvement in various mosque activities.

Develop and implement repeatable processes to ensure the sustainability of committees.

Guide and assist volunteer committees on operational procedures within the masjid environment.

Help volunteers setup registration for their activities

Assist in budgeting and fund allocation for committee activities.

Foster a collaborative environment among different committees and volunteers.
Event Coordination

Identify and book guest speakers for religious and community events.

Manage travel arrangements, accommodations, and local transportation for guest speakers.

Ensure that religious programs align with the mosque's values and objectives.

Maintain a database of contacts and potential speakers

Assist with khateeb schedule coordination for the three weekly Jumu'ah prayers
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Good understanding of Islamic practices and principles.

Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Preferred but not required: Experience in community management and/or event coordination.

Preferred: Familiarity with the local and broader Islamic community.
Reporting to: Head Imam
Hours: Part-time, can grow into full-time with successful outcomes
Pay: Commensurate with experience
