Assalamu Alaykum,
We're excited to announce that starting February 11th, MAPS MUHSEN will be hosting a caregiver support group.
This is a free, virtual support group aimed at supporting Muslim families who are differently-abled by:

Addressing needs and answering questions.

Teaching emotional support techniques.

Embracing diversity and cultural sensitivity.

Guiding physical and emotional well-being.

Meet Our Therapists
Haneen Ahmad, MSW, LICSW
Haneen Ahmad is a Muslim Palestinian therapist with a specialization in working with youth and families. Haneen has been a therapist for 14 years and has worked with trauma, anxiety, depression, parenting support and more. Haneen aims to destigmatize accessing mental health services in communities of color as well as increasing access to services in the Muslim community.
Chantel Thurman, MA, LMHC
Chantel Thurman is a psychotherapist, community advocate and environmental educator living in the Snoqualmie River Valley. She has over 30 years’ professional experience working with individuals, couples and families on a wide range of issues. She is excited to support MAPS families on their parenting and health journeys.
