One Ummah...In Solidarity

Asalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah dear Brothers and Sisters,

Labayka Allahuma Labayk, Labayka La shareeka laka Labayak. Inna alhamda walnimata laka walmulk, la shareeka lak.

Here we are oh Allah responding to your call, here we are responding, verily you are free of all partners. Verily all praise, blessings and dominion belong to you, you have no partner.

As we see the ongoing trials of our community, both here and abroad, we follow the example of our Prophets (AS) and sacrifice from our wealth and our time to support our brothers and sisters.

In the spirit of our Eid theme One Ummah...In Solidarity, Eid Mubarak! May Allah accept our good deeds and yours, and may we soon celebrate victory in the blessed lands. Here are some practical steps on how we can celebrate Eid Al Adha while supporting our brothers and sisters in Palestine, Sudan and the whole ummah:

  • Udhiyah/Qurbani: If you havent fulfilled your udhiyah, you can still do so by visiting . If you have themeans to sacrifice more than one udhiyah, please consider doing another in Gaza or Sudan.

  • Make Dua: Pray for peace, relief, and strength for those facing hardship.

  • Donate: Support reputable charities providing humanitarian aid.

  • Advocate: Participate in peaceful demonstrations to support justice and human rights as part of our religious duties.

  • Volunteer: Engage in local activities supporting refugees and marginalized communities.

  • Support Ethical Businesses: Purchase from businesses that contribute to humanitarian causes not those who support wars.

  • Host Educational Events: Organize or attend discussions about global issues.

  • Send Eid Gifts: Send gifts or cards to families in affected regions.

  • Practice Conscious Consumption: Be mindful of waste and support sustainable practices.

See below the different MAC Eid activities across our different chapters.

In this blessed occasion of Eid, I ask Allah Allah (swt) to bless you and your families, to strengthen our community and ummah, and to alleviate the suffering of our brethren all over the world.

Eid Mubarak.

Sincerely,

Abdullatif Bakbak, President-Executive
