Ibn Juzayy al-Kalbī is one of the great interpreters of the Qur'an from the Andalusian period. Shaykh Musā'id al-Ṭayyar, in his work Sharḥ Muqaddimah al-Tashīl li ‘Ulūm al-Tanzīl (An Explanation to the Introduction to al-Tashīl li ‘Ulūm al-Tanzīl) highlights some of the Imam's anecdotes on studying the Qur'an.
