DAWAH & COMMUNITY OUTREACH
As-Salāmu ʿAlaykum wa Raḥmatullāh wa Barakātuh,
We are excited to launch a beautiful new initiative called Embrace: The New Muslims Mentorship Project, and we’re looking for dedicated volunteers to join us as mentors!
Every year, many individuals enter Islam with open hearts—but often, they feel lost, disconnected, or unsupported as they begin their journey. Embrace was created to ensure that no new Muslim walks this path alone.
We’re inviting you to be a part of this powerful mission by volunteering as a mentor to help our new brothers and sisters in Islam find place in our community.
🌱 What does a mentor do?
As a mentor, you’ll have access to training and resources to help you:
-
Befriend and welcome new Muslims with warmth and sincerity
-
Check on them regularly and follow up weekly
-
Be there for them—listen, support, advise, and encourage
-
Introduce them to other Muslims and new Muslims in the community
-
Bring them to community events and be a companion on their journey
-
Provide emotional and spiritual support during their early growth
-
Help them feel safe, valued, and truly at home among us
-
Connect them to a support group that understands their unique needs
This is a volunteer-based opportunity, but one that carries deep spiritual rewards. Imagine being the person who helps someone grow closer to Allah, and feel seen, loved, and embraced in their new faith.
