President of the Board | Message to the Community
Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
My name is Samir Chandiwala and alhamdulillah I was recently elected
as the new president of Clifton Masjid board. I view this position as
a great trust from Allah and the community and would like to take a
moment to introduce myself. I have lived in Cincinnati for 18 years
and been part of the community in Clifton since 2016 when myself, my
wife Sarah Taufique and our son Zayd moved to the area. We were drawn
to Clifton because we loved coming to classes and activities at
Clifton masjid and we were especially drawn to the welcoming and
diverse community here.
I thank the previous board and also president, brother Majed Dabdoub for all of their efforts. I am excited to work with the new board including 4 new board members. Our goals are to increase the activities at the masjid, empower committees to do more independently and hire an Imam to lead the spiritual direction of the masjid. May Allah reward all of those who attend the Masjid and enable this community to be a reflection of the beauty of Islam.
