A Farewell Message and a Bright Outlook
As I pen this final message as Executive Director, my heart is full of gratitude. Over this past year, IECPA, now known as ISA, has grown from strength to strength, becoming a beacon of unity, education, and service for our beloved community. Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones: launching impactful programs, recruiting remarkable talent, refining our physical and digital spaces, and solidifying ISA as a cornerstone for Muslims in the Lehigh Valley.
The team at ISA started this year surveying and collecting data on what our community wanted to see this year. Using that framework, we rolled our sleeves and got to work. Not settling for mediocrity, we leveled up all of our community events, from our first Eid Festival in Q1 to our Annual Conference in Q4; we strived to serve with Ihsaan (Excellence) and Ikhlaas (Sincerity). We invested in talent to increase our offerings, such as our Sisters Youth Coordinator. We reorganized our operations to support our volunteers and better serve our community. We established the Imam’s office to build upon a unified effort between our three Imams. All of this is just touching the surface of what 2024 looked like.
To mark our 20th anniversary this year, we achieved a milestone that will define our legacy—our rebranding. The new name and logo symbolize growth, renewal, and our forward-looking vision. The overwhelmingly positive reception has affirmed that this transformation reflects not just our aspirations but also the heart of our community.
It has been an honor to serve this community and witness the incredible power of collaboration and dedication. As I transition from this role, I remain committed to supporting ISA in every way I can. I am confident that the seeds we’ve planted together this year will continue to flourish under capable leadership and a passionate community.
To the ISA board, team, and community: thank you for trusting me to lead this journey and for your unwavering support this past year. Together, we have built on a strong foundation for an even brighter future. May Allah swt bless our community, and accept from those who have served for his sake.
