JUMMAH UPDATE
Recommendation is for community to be safe and pray Dhuhr at home. Due to the road conditions, you will be excused from having to make it out for Jummah iA. The road conditions are difficult and even more so in the area surrounding MIC, parking lot, and walkways.
There will be a Jummah held for a limited number.
If you do attempt to make it out please exercise the following:
- Only do so if you live close by and conditions are safe enough for you to do so
- Use main roads as much as possible as they are in better conditions than smaller side roads
- Drive very slowly and cautiously while entering, parking, and exiting MIC. Do not rush to enter and do not rush to leave
Again you are excused and allowed to pray Dhuhr at home. Priority is your safety and the safety of others around you. Use your best judgement and proceed with the utmost caution.

💫 Miftaah Circle: Anchored by the Qur’an | Memphis, Tennessee
The Quran was sent not only as a guidance, but also as a source of solace for our ummah. As we continue to witness the events unfolding in Palestine 🇵🇸, it is important that we remain firm in our faith by anchoring ourselves to the Quran. The Quran was not just meant for the first few generations, rather it was meant for all of humanity for rest of time ⏳, serving as an anchor for us in every situation.
✨ Join us for our upcoming Miftaah Circle, Anchored by the Quran, where we will go over the countless wisdoms contained within the Book of Allah, this time in Memphis. InshaAllah, we will be joined by some of our respected local scholars and Imams as well as visiting scholars such as Mufti Abdul Rahman Waheed, Dr. Haifaa Younis, Imam Khalid Latif, and more!

For those that had signed up for the CERT Training planned for this Saturday and next Saturday, the Shelby County Emergency Management Agency (SC EM-HS) & City of Memphis Office of Emergency Management (OEM) that was set to conduct these two trainingsessions with our community have reached out and informed us that they will need to reschedule due to their restraints in dealing with the ongoing conditions in Shelby County. We've asked them if some days in February will work and are waiting on their response. Once they confirm we will inform everyone that registered on the new rescheduled dates.

Training Details:
Learn how to prepare for the unexpected by taking the FREE Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training from the Shelby County Emergency Management Agency (SC EM-HS) & City of Memphis Office of Emergency Management (OEM). CERT students learn life-saving skills; gain a new confidence that they will know what do before, during and after a disaster. And be able to assist family, neighbors, and co-workers until the professional rescuers arrive on the scene.
CERT training is presented through lectures, videos, and hands-on exercises to teach students what to do before, during, and after a disaster.
Join a blessed trip with your Memphis community to Umrah & Turkey this upcoming February 2024 led by Sh. Mohammed Faqih & Dr. Mohammed Malley.

MIC Quran Program
Registration Now Open
$40 Per Month // Ages 7-16
Program is $40 per month. Students will meet twice per week for one hour each day. Sessions available to select from are Monday & Wednesday, Tuesday & Thursday, or Saturday & Sunday.
Sessions will include lessons on Quran Reading & Memorization, Islamic Studies, and Du'a Memorization.

Every Saturday and Sunday at 3PM

Sign up for professionally instructed karate lessons hosted at MIC every Saturday and Sunday at 3PM at the Manarah Building resuming this weekend. Sponsorships are available if needed.

Join The Memphis Dawah Team
The Memphis Dawah Team has been holding "Meet Your Muslim Neighbors" Dawah Tables every Sunday at Shelby Farms.
Objectives Include:
- Clarifying any misinformation and misconceptions about Islam & Muslims
- Providing Free Quran and Free Islamic Literature
- Sharing the correct Message of Islam with our Neighbors
