Salam,
Hope you are doing well and staying safe in these winter conditions. For those that had signed up for the CERT Training that was planned for this Saturday January 20th and Saturday January 27th, the Shelby County Emergency Management Agency (SC EM-HS) & City of Memphis Office of Emergency Management (OEM) that was set to conduct these two training sessions with our community have reached out and informed us that they will need to reschedule due to their restraints in dealing with the ongoing conditions in Shelby County. We've asked them if some days in February will work and are waiting on their response. Once they confirm we will inform everyone that registered on the new rescheduled dates.
Thank you for your understanding and please let us know if you have any questions iA.
Training Details:
Learn how to prepare for the unexpected by taking the FREE Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training from the Shelby County Emergency Management Agency (SC EM-HS) & City of Memphis Office of Emergency Management (OEM). CERT students learn life-saving skills; gain a new confidence that they will know what do before, during and after a disaster. And be able to assist family, neighbors, and co-workers until the professional rescuers arrive on the scene.
CERT training is presented through lectures, videos, and hands-on exercises to teach students what to do before, during, and after a disaster.
