MCRC Mental Health Webinar - This Monday!

Please join the MAPS-MCRC Community Clinic as we kick off our new Mental Health Series with a powerful conversation featuring national experts in mental health and community well-being. 

Our first session, Mental Health 101, will explore the foundations of mental wellness through a culturally responsive lens, offering insight, resources, and practical strategies for individuals and families. This will be the first in a series of monthly webinars on mental and emotional wellness for our community.

Featured Speakers:

  • Amanda Adhami, LCSW, CADAC-V, BCPG, ICOGS - A clinical social worker, educator, and community advocate, Amanda brings deep expertise in mental health, substance use, and ethical practice. She currently serves as Clinical Director at Emberwood Center, runs her own private practice, and teaches at Indiana University Bloomington’s School of Social Work.

  • Ustadh Umair Lasania - A graduate of Darul Uloom Bury, Qasid Arabic Institute, and Qalam Institute’s ʿĀlimīyyah Program, Ustadh Umair brings a unique faith-based perspective to mental wellness. He currently serves as Youth Director at Alhuda Islamic Center of Indiana and as an Islamic Studies instructor at Eman Schools.

This webinar is free and open to all: parents, youth, educators, and community members alike. Join us as we lay the foundation for open dialogue and healing in our communities.
