It was narrated from Az-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurairah that: the Prophet used to encourage praying Qiyam Al-Lail in Ramadan, but not forcibly. And he said: "When Ramadan begins, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are close, and the devils are chained up."
Ibn Al-Mubarak narrated it in Mursal from: Sunan an-Nasa'i 2104

Ramadan Iftar Sign-Up

As we prepare for the blessed month, MCF invites community members to sponsor our Ramadan Iftar Program and help provide meals for the community.
Daily Iftar
MCF will provide a light iftar, including dates, fruit, and milk, inshaAllah every night of Ramadan.
Weekend Iftar & Dinner
MCF will host iftar dinners on select Fridays and Saturdays, with community members jointly sponsoring meals for 800+ people, inshaAllah. MCF has arranged vendors, pre-negotiated pricing, and will coordinate the menu. If youd like to sponsor, please sign up using the link below.
We encourage everyone to attend these iftars and experience the joy of breaking fast together in this blessed month.

Sponsor Iftar Meals at Local Masajid
Alhamdulliah, for the past 10 years, the MCF community has generously sponsored iftars for deserving families in the Sacramento region. This year, we will once again be sponsoring iftar dinners at Masjid As-Sabur and Masjid Ibrahim.
Around 400 meals will be provided throughout Ramadan, at a cost of $12/meal.
