After-School Arabic Classes
Classes Begin Next Month
For Children Ages 5 to 12: We are currently accepting students for our Fall '24 after-school Arabic classes, both in-person and online, which start next month on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
This after-school program teaches kids to use Arabic effectively for reading, writing, comprehension, and conversation.
Registration is first come, first served. Returning parents receive priority for this popular program.

Enrollment is currently open for MCC's Qur'an program, which accommodates learners from beginner to Hifz.
In-person and online classes restart next month on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
The MCC Quran program team works hard each day to bring you Quran classes taught by professional educators to bring the Book of Allah into your life, as well as into the lives of your children.

Our weekly, parallel off-site Jumu'ah is permanently held at Rosewood Conference Center. Attending this service eases regular parking congestion at MCC. This location offers ample parking, comfortable prayer space, and boxed lunches for sale. Fulfill your religious obligation and help your local masjid.
Monthly Qur'an Khatam & Fajr Gathering

Sunday, Sept. 1 | 6 a.m. to 7 a.m.
On the first Sunday of each month, read a Juz of the Qur'an before (optional) and then join us for Fajr in the congregation, Zikr, Quran Khatam dua, and collective community dua. Then, have breakfast with the community. Sign up to read a Juz here for next month's Khatam.

Bi-weekly Homeless Food Distribution

Every month, volunteers from the MCC community get together to sponsor, cook, and pack food boxes for the homeless in Oakland.
Alhamdulillah, their efforts are now expanding to include a second food distribution each month. This week's food distribution was in partnership with Mirchi Cafe in Pleasanton.
We invite halal restaurants in the Bay Area to partner with us on this beautiful initiative. If you are interested in sponsoring the expenses each month, please contact us.

After the Friday teen Jumuah last week, a group of UC Berkeley students held a workshop to prepare high school students for the UC admission process. The workshop offered strategies for writing an effective application essay and provided resources on how students can succeed in their career paths.

Due to the ongoing heatwave in California, a group of dedicated volunteers in our community teamed up to take on an initiative to regularly check on our community members needing extra help.
With love and care, we extend an invitation to those of you who may be homebound, live alone, have a disability, or have a health issue to have one of our trained volunteers call you for routine check-ins.
