Tomorrow: Domestic Violence Awarness

Love Shouldn't Hurt with Imam Tahir Anwar

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 

This month, and always, we affirm that we will break the silence and empower women in the Muslim community so they are not forced to stay in marriages in which they are abused.

Join Imam Tahir Anwar and the Bay Area's Muslim domestic violence shelter team tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. to discuss the unspoken topic of forbidding domestic oppression.

Learn about the resources available to help our loved ones and how we can support local organizations addressing this issue. 

 A free served after the Isha prayers at 8:45 p.m. Please arrive between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to receive dinner tickets.

This Monday Night

"Ahmad Is Alive": Documentary Screening

Hi, its Ahmad. Im alive!

This Monday evening, on the bitter first anniversary of the ongoing war and genocide, join us in community as we watch a gripping 37-minute documentary showcasing stories of Palestine since October 7, 2023.

This PG-13 film follows the life of Gaza resident Ahmad Ghunaim, a popular content creator turned war journalist. After the screening, one of its filmmakers will join us for a discussion.

Free dinner (Palestinian fare) precedes screening, which begins at 7 p.m.

Monthly Qur'an Khatam & Fajr Gathering
