Empower & Inspire: Mentorship for Success
In light of the failure of the public school system and the recent influx of refugees, mentorship has become a necessity in any Muslim community.
This Friday at 7 p.m., join Ustadha Hosai Mojaddidi and Dr. Imam Sherif Ahmed (co-founder and dean of Tarbiya Institute Seminary) to learn the tools you need as a parent to find the right mentors for your children.
What are the characteristics of the right mentor? How do we prepare and train qualified mentors? What expectations should we have from them? We would like you to join us tomorrow to find out.

- Sonia Afrin (Dublin): Her husband, Quazi Nazrul Islam, passed away on Saturday in Dublin.
- Rafi Ahmad (Dublin): His father, Mohammad Salim, passed away last Monday in India, and his mother, Khairun Nisa, is on dialysis from kidney disease.
- Khawar Butt (Pleasanton): Her friend, Moazam Khalil, passed away earlier this month in Lahore, Pakistan.
- Souzan Elkhazendar (Livermore): Her mother, Aziza Jomaa, had surgery yesterday in Canada.
- Ayesha Khan (Fremont): Her father, Ahmed Saeed Khan, suffered from a heart attack in London.
- Aejaz Sareshwala (Pleasanton): His father, Anwar Ahmed Sareshwala, is severely ill and in hospice care.

Community Wellness Check-In
Due to the ongoing heatwave in California, a group of dedicated volunteers in our community teamed up to take on an initiative to regularly check on our community members needing extra help.
With love and care, we extend an invitation to those of you who may be homebound, live alone, have a disability, or have a health issue to have one of our trained volunteers call you for routine check-ins.

Bi-weekly Homeless Food Distribution

Every month, volunteers from the MCC community get together to sponsor, cook, and pack food boxes for the homeless in Oakland.
Alhamdulillah, their efforts are now expanding to include a second food distribution each month. This week's food distribution was in partnership with Mirchi Cafe in Pleasanton.
We invite halal restaurants in the Bay Area to partner with us on this beautiful initiative. If you are interested in sponsoring the expenses each month, please contact us.
