Breaking Down the UC Application
Tomorrow, after the Friday teen Jumuah ends at 4 p.m., join us for a college admission workshop for high school students led by a panel of UC Berkeley students across all disciplines of study with the Muslim Tech Collaborative at Berkeley.
We will review the UC admissions process, application essay writing strategies, and resources you need to succeed in your career path.
We will have a panelist Q&A afterward, so come prepared to ask questions!

Monthly Qur'an Khatam & Fajr Gathering

- Tariq Ansari & Ghazal Ansari (San Ramon): Their son, Imadh Ansari, passed away on Monday in San Francisco.
- Zaka Ashraf & Shazia Ashraf (Pleasanton): Their uncle and brother-in-law, respectively, passed away on Saturday in England.
- Mohammed Abdur-Rahman Mohammed & Mohammed Abdur-Raheem (Livermore): Their maternal grandfather, Himayat Ali Khan, passed away last Thursday in Hyderabad, India.
- Jamal Rostai (Dublin): He underwent open heart surgery on Monday.

Bi-weekly Homeless Food Distribution
Prophet Muhammad (saw) said, The best of you are those who feed others. [Ahmad]
Every month, volunteers from the MCC community get together to sponsor, cook, and pack food boxes for the homeless in Oakland.
Alhamdulillah, their efforts are now expanding to include a second food distribution each month. This week's food distribution was in partnership with Mirchi Cafe in Pleasanton.
We invite halal restaurants in the Bay Area to partner with us on this beautiful initiative. If you are interested in sponsoring the expenses each month, please contact us.

Due to the ongoing heatwave in California, a group of dedicated volunteers in our community teamed up to take on an initiative to regularly check on our community members needing extra help.
With love and care, we extend an invitation to those of you who may be homebound, live alone, have a disability, or have a health issue to have one of our trained volunteers call you for routine check-ins.

After-School Qur'an Classes
Registration is now open
MCC's Qur'an program accommodates learners from beginner to Hifz and restarts this Fall, both in-person and online. Classes start Sept. 3, 2024.
The MCC Quran program team works hard each day to bring you Quran classes taught by professional educators in order to bring the Book of Allah into your life, as well as into the lives of your children.

After-School Arabic Classes
Registration is now open
For Children Ages 5 to 12: Enrollment for our after-school Arabic classes is now open for Fall '24 beginning this September.
This after-school program teaches kids to use Arabic effectively for reading, writing, comprehension, and conversation.
Registration is first come, first served. Returning parents receive priority for this popular program.
