DECEMBER 21 APPEAL
Community Members in Need of Your Support
- Every month, MCA extends a lifeline to over 50 families through our Zakah program, ensuring they have the essentials they need to survive. However, our resources are running perilously low. While the generous spirit of Ramadan brings many donations, the needs are pressing right now. Each recipient on our list undergoes a rigorous vetting process, ensuring that those most in need receive our support. One such community member who came to the MCA for support is Sister S a young woman bravely battling severe medical challenges. Your donation directly aids her in managing crucial monthly expenses, allowing her to focus on recovery without financial worries. Your support means the world to Sister S and countless others facing similar hardships. Your contribution today will make an immediate impact in transforming lives. Please, join us in making a tangible difference.

Navigating Survivors' Guilt: The Case of the Believer, Event Recap, Saturday, December 16th, 2023
The MCA Wellness and Social Committees hosted Ustadha Yasmin Mogahed's talk on Dec 16, 2023. She spoke about the strength of Palestinians who say alhamdulillah in real-time, even when being bombed. "Alhamdulillah" means Allah is worthy of all praise, regardless of the situation. We don't just say it when things are good. We're learning its true meaning from the Palestinians' use of statements like 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa Billah' and 'Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un'.
