masjid plus, can you deliver food packages on August 10?
Assalamu Alaikum masjid plus,
Thank you to our outstanding volunteers who joined us at our Food Relief Program on July 13. Together, we supported more than 100 families with boxes of nutritious and culturally-responsive food. Our next volunteer opportunities is on August 10. Click here to learn more and register.
Did you know that transportation is one of the biggest barriers for people who are experiencing food insecurity? Food delivery is one of the ways our Food Relief Program is helping to meet the immediate and long-term needs of our immigrant, refugee and neighbors in low-income households. In fact, the majority of our food boxes are delivered directly to the recipient family.
We are proud to be in a position to make nearly 100 food deliveries each month, but we need a large team of dedicated volunteers to continue to make this happen.
Volunteer delivery drivers are needed on the second Saturday of each month from 12pm to 3pm. Learn more and sign-up to volunteer on our website.
By providing culturally-responsive food, including halal meat, we're helping ensure families from diverse religious backgrounds can access food assistance without compromising their dietary practices or beliefs, which strengthens the impact of our efforts.
P.S. The simplest way to support the DDIC is to leave us a review on our Google profile. Please consider, as this will help us reach more people in Denver.
