Assalamu alaikum MAS Family
إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ
**
It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts we share the passing of dear Br. Abdul Hadi Diwan, son of Br. Muhammad Aftab Diwan - our MAS DFW Executive Director (former principal of BHA, IQA and superintendent of the Islamic School of Irving ) and Sr. Hanifa Hameed Diwan, brother of Sr. Yusra Diwan.
**
He prayed Jumaa' at MAS yesterday as he usually did, shared smiles and hugs with his many friends, and drove of to his destiny, near Allah, and to a place much better than this world we live in.
**
Hadi was a light within the Dallas Muslim community - someone who always wore a smile and brought a smile to the face of others. Hadi was a brother, a son, a friend. Hadi did everything with ihsān and went out of his way for the comfort of others.
Hadi was an example on campus of who to be - in easy times, he remained steadfast and in hard times, he would maintain a level head.
Hadi passed on Jumm‘uah, A Muslim who passes away on a Friday is saved from the punishment of the grave. It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Amr that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said:
“A Muslim who passes away on the day or eve of Jumuah (Friday) will be saved from the punishment of the grave”. (Sunan Tirmizi, Hadith #: 1074, Turath)
