Ramadan-2024 | Recap and Thank You!
Ramadan this year was special because of YOU!
Ramadan at MAS
Daily Taraweeh, Qur'an, Qiyam, Itikaf, All-Nighters, Toys Wrapping, Charity, Graveyard Visit, Youth Iftars, Qur'an Circles, Community Suhoor, Kids Qur'an Competition, and LOTS more.
Our Goal this Ramadan
It is said that what really brings positive character change is “Experiences & Relationships”
This is what we do at MAS, and this is what our primary goal was in the Month of Ramadan.
Day to Day
We had 300-400 people attending our beautiful & soothing Taraweeh on a daily basis led by Dr. Ahmad Rashad. In the last 10 nights of Ramadan, we had additional Tahajjud every night at 3am followed by Suhoor for all.
Jannah Infinity
Kids had their share of fun and excitement at our famous “Jannah Infinity” program Fridays/Saturdays. Amazing moments that we trust will remain with them for a lifetime.
And for the 21st year, we offered our famous “Youth Taraweeh” at our Youth Lounge every Friday & Saturday.
Qur'an Competition
One of our peak programs in Ramadan was the Annual Qur'an Competition, which had 8 different levels, in which 175 had participated in. You teach them Qur'an, Qur'an teaches them everything.
Youth
The (4) All-Night programs were attended by hundreds of Middle School and High School Boys and Girls, where they had fun, spiritual uplifting, good companionship, and inspiring conversations.
We had weekly Iftars for Middle School & High School.
College & Young Professionals
One unique dimension that we added this year was the College & Young Professional track. As we’ve had amazing momentum in our Shawwal program, we continued strong during Ramadan with a packed Iftar event, and an all-night Revive Program. Great memories.
Community Service
And lastly, it won’t be a real Ramadan experience without a real Community Service effort. We partnered with UTD MSA for their Annual Charity Week, in partnership with Islamic Relief, were we collected ~ 100 toys and wrapped them, then delivered to M'aruf to distribute to local Refugee Families.
We also partnered with American Islamic Diversity (AID) to host and iftar with a group of refugee families who arrived recently to Dallas.
“The best among you are the most beneficial towards people."
Another way we offer the opportunity to “benefit” others is by hosting community organizations to introduce different causes, and appeal for funds. Alhamdulillah, we were able to host 10 community and relief organizations to address our congregation and collected Sadaqah & Zakah.
