Purifying the soul - Weekly lecture every Thursday!
Join us weekly on Thursdays, after Maghrib, as we read through the pages of Shaykh Abd al-Razzaq al-Abbad's book "Ten Principles in Purifying the Souls." In our last session, we introduced the concept of Tazkiyatun Nafs, emphasizing its importance in purifying the soul and removing negative traits such as pride and anger.
We have discussed the significance of seeking and applying knowledge to benefit both in this life and the hereafter. Factors such as prioritizing personal desires over Allah's commands and the inclination to worship one's desires can corrupt a person. This process of tazkiya allows us to replace these negative traits with positive qualities, nurturing our soul.
Fiqh Al Shafi'i classes every Sunday!
Imam Ahmed Sh. Omar has begun his comprehensive class on Fiqh Al Shafi'i again. This class will provide valuable insights into the principles and rulings of Islamic jurisprudence according to the Shafi'i school of thought. It is free and open to all community members interested in deepening their understanding of Fiqh Al Shafi'i. Whether you're a student of Islamic studies or simply curious about Islamic law, we welcome you to join us for this enlightening journey. We look forward to your participation and benefiting from this enriching opportunity to learn together!
