MAPS Election 2024 Results

Assalamu Alaykum MAPS Community,  

We are pleased to announce that the vacant Board of Directors positions will be filled by the following nominated members:

  • Hend Alhinnawi

  • Mahmood Khadeer

  • Mohammed Vakil

  • Ziad AlSoufi

Since we had four open positions and received four nominations, these nominees are automatically elected.

Furthermore, we would like to inform you that none of the current board members expressed interest in running for the position of president, except Brother Mohammed Vakil, who has graciously agreed to accept the role. As a result, Mohammed Vakil will serve as MAPS President for the next two years, and there will be no voting this year for either the board members or the president position.

We appreciate the enthusiasm and commitment of these candidates in their dedication to serving our organization. Please take a moment to congratulate the newly elected members and to learn more about them by reviewing their bios.
