Asalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
For the past 30 years, our teachers in our Dar-us-Salaam Hifzh School and Qur’an Institute have been dedicating their lives to keep the community’s hearts attached to the Book of Allah.
Alhamdulillah, with the immense blessings of Allah, over 140 Huffazh have graduated from our Qur’an programs! Many of them now serve the community by leading Salah and Taraweeh in masajid across the DMV and the US.
“This journey is a stepping stone for life. I heard somewhere that there’s nobody that’s hoping more for the favors and blessings of Allah than someone who memorizes the Qur’an. For me that summarizes the entire journey, because I see it as an insurance and reassurance for life,” said Ameerah Suhail, one of our Hifzh graduates this year.
This academic year alone, we’re on track to break the record of highest rates of Hifzh graduations per year, Allahu Akbar! Since the start of the 30th school year in August until now, we have already had 7 students complete the Qur’an, with more graduations coming soon in the coming months in shaa Allah.
“We hope to reach 150 Huffazh very soon,” says Br. Haroon Baqai. “The success of our Qur’an programs doesn’t just lie in the number of graduates we produce, but also in how our Huffazh are spreading the love and attachment to the Qur’an to their friends, families, and communities wherever they go. One Hafizh can change the world with all the hearts they touch, and that’s our hope with these programs.”
