At American Islamic College (AIC), we are proud to support students from traditional Islamic educational backgrounds—such as ʿĀlimiyyah and Darul Uloom programs—through a dedicated Madrasa Pathways track. This track is designed to prepare students for success in graduate-level academic settings while honoring the strengths of their prior learning.
Step 1: Submit Pathways Application
Step 2: Complete the 'Madrasa Pathway to Academia' Certificate
Summer Intensive: July 20 – August 21
Format: 100% Online | Tuition: $1000
Complete this required five-week online certificate to prepare Madrasa students for graduate-level coursework at AIC.
Weekly Schedule:
- Academic English for Madrasa Students (Tu, Th, Su|2:00 PM – 5:00 PM CT)
- Bridging Traditions through the Liberal Arts (M,W|6:00 PM – 9:00 PM CT)
Courses Included
Academic English for Madrasa Graduates
Instructor: Dr. Dima Abduljabbar
This graduate-level course (CEFR C1–C2) strengthens academic reading and writing skills. Students learn to critically analyze complex texts, write research-based papers, use proper citation, and develop key research skills for graduate studies.
Bridging Traditions through the Liberal Arts
Instructor: Dr. Basit Koshul
Explore how traditions like Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and classical/modern philosophy conceive “truth,” “goodness,” and “beauty.”
Professional Development at AIC Starting July 22nd
📌 Certificate in Islamic School Teaching
📌Certificate in Islamic Educational Administration
The Certificate in Islamic School Teaching will begin on July 22nd with "Becoming a Murabbi: The Educator as a Guide of Hearts and Minds" workshop.
♦ This certification is designed for educators working in Islamic schools—whether in formal K–12 settings or informal weekend programs.
The Certificate in Islamic Educational Administration will begin on October 7th with the "Building Strong Leadership and Teams" workshop.
♦ This certification prepares educators and administrators to effectively lead Islamic educational institutions with integrity, vision, and Islamic values.
