Ummah Issues
As we start the new school year, we wish our children a journey filled with tawfeeq, learning, and personal growth.
It is a blessing to have the opportunity to receive an education and attend school.
Yet, hundreds of thousands of children in Gaza are deprived of education amid constant Israeli bombardment, destruction and displacement.
Let us acknowledge Allahs blessings and be grateful, so we may face lifeschallengeswith patience and resilience.
Wishing you a fruitful and inspiring year ahead.

MAC in the Spotlight
A big thank you to all MAC schools' principals and vice principals who attended our annual 2-day workshop at MAC Head Office, to prepare for the upcoming school year. They explored the Tarbiyyah vision for our schools along with how to continue nurturing high quality educational institutions that instill Islamic in our students' lives.
Tarbiyah at MAC
MAC schools' pedagogical approach to education is grounded in the concept of Tarbiyyah, whereby tarbiyah is woven into all aspects of the school. The MAC Schools Tarbiyah Framework is a holistic approach and view on education rooted in fostering a strong relationship with Allah SWT, while instilling Islamic values and character traits that students can uphold throughout their lifetime. Islamic values are infused into all teaching, learning and student experiences leading to a positive school culture rooted in Rabbaniyyah (God-Consciousness) with a shared language between all educational partners: staff, students, parents, and the school community. Thus enhancing students academic and spiritual development, equipping them with the knowledge and skills rootedin Rabbaniyah to reach the level of Ihsan as they fulfill their responsibilities entrusted upon us by Allah SWT towards individuals, family, society, the ummah, humanity, and the environment.

Hadith on Responsibility
Abdullah ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,
Every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The leader of people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects. A man is the guardian of his family and he is responsible for them. A woman is the guardian of her husbands home and his children and she is responsible for them. The servant of a man is a guardian of the property of his master and he is responsible for it. No doubt, every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. Sahih Bukhari

Ummah Issues
As brothers/sisters of one Ummah, our hearts are connected by our common beliefs and purpose. Our concept of Ummah is a universal one that extends from our family, community, and country, to the entire Muslim Ummah. If our brothers and sisters are suffering anywhere in the world, we have a responsibility to relieve them of their suffering.
Thriving in the Path of Allah (SWT) requires us to thrive not only as individuals but as a collective Ummah. The sessions within this stream will focus on the concept of the Ummah, our responsibility toward the Ummah, and how we can thrive in the Path of Allah (SWT) collectively and cohesively as an Ummah.
