HIGHLIGHTING COMMUNITY ACHIEVEMENTS
Tasneem, a 17-year-old from the Muslim community here in Lexington, won 3rd place in the Kentucky Safe Teen Driving Challenge!
According to statistics from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, over 700 people were killed as a result of car crashes in 2024, and many more were injured. This challenge encourages young drivers to avoid unsafe driving behaviors, such as speeding, hard breaking, using a phone while driving, etc. Avoiding these unsafe behaviors on the road will help us create safer roads, avoid car accidents, and save lives.
Congratulations to Tasneem on her achievement! Let's all make an effort to drive safely to help protect ourselves and our community!
