Winter Storm Updates
Due to recent inclement weather and snow storms, please note the following:
- Friday prayers will be held on time, in sha Allah.
- Please drive safe and give yourself enough time to arrive.
- Be aware that parking area of the Masjid might still have some snow or ice with slippery spots.
- Though parking area will be cleaned, we have limited parking capacity due to the accumulation of ice and snow from the recent snowstorm. Pease carpool and ride together to save parking spots.
- Be courteous and do not park on driveway.
Riba-Free Homeownership & Investing Session
Community get together! Listen to experts with open Q&A regarding Islamic investment and real-estate opportunities. Please join the Asr prayer at 4:05 PM and then attend the presentation.
Refreshments and tea/coffee will be provided.
You are welcome to bring some food to share.
Classes at Masjid Bilal to pause for Ramadan 2025
- Masjid Bilal is offering the following in-person classes:
- Mondays at 5 pm:-The Essentials of Worship
- Mondays at 6pm:- I****ntroduction to Islam These classes are both in-person and online. The zoom links can be found on our website calendar.
- Tuesdays after Maghrib prayer: Short Surah memorization with Qari Abdur Razzaq
- Saturdays after Maghrib prayer: Qaidah Nooraniyyah with Qari Abdur Razzaq
- Sunday evenings: Halaqas with Brother Omar Hassan (Timing TBA)
Sponsor an Iftar this Ramadan
Masjid Bilal will have community sponsored Iftars on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) insha Allah. In order to provide opportunity to all community groups, the Masjid is currently accepting only one sponsorship per group or an individual until Feb 20, 2025. After that, any individual or group is able to choose as many open spots as available.

Parking Issue during Jumu'ah prayers
Masjid Bilal needs your help with the following:
- The first prayer (1 PM) is more crowded than the second (2 PM), with too many cars to park. If you don't need to attend the first prayer, please plan to attend the second prayer. This would make it easy for you to park while saving a few spots for those who need to attend the first prayer.
- If you can, please carpool to the Masjid so we can save a few more parking spots.
- Follow the directions of the volunteers helping with parking. They are there to help!
Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated!
Note: Masjid Door Unlocks Before Prayer Time
The Masjid doors automatically unlock a few minutes before the Iqama/congregation prayer times.
We Would Like Your Input!
The Community Development Committee is seeking your input to improve the Masjid. We want to understand your aspirations and expectations for the Masjid, so we can work together to create a space that truly serves everyone for the sake of Allah (SWT) Please share your contact information to participate in future surveys and discussions.

- Educational and social programs

Join SHARE Kentucky in Serving our Community
We are excited to share some of the work being done by SHARE Kentucky, a Muslim-run nonprofit based in Masjid Bilals first-ever building in Lexington. The organization is committed to uplifting the community through various programs and services, including:
Food B****ank: Providing essential groceries to families in need.
Employment Assistance: Helping individuals find meaningful work and career opportunities.
Community Garden: Growing fresh, local produce to support our neighbors.
Free Lunch Program: Offering meals to those in need every week.
Additionally, theyre currently working to reopen their free clinic, providing medical care to underserved members of the community.
They are seeking passionate volunteers and leaders to join us in making a difference. Whether it is to help with their food bank, support their garden, volunteer as a healthcare provider at the free clinic, or take on a leadership role, they would love to have you on their team!
