Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatahu,

As we welcome the blessed month of Ramadan, a time of mercy and forgiveness, we pray to Allah SWT to grant us the wisdom to fully benefit from its blessings and to multiply our rewards. Aameen!

Important Ramadan Updates:

Masjid Al-Baqi follows local moon sighting and relies on Central Hilal Committee for moonsighting results.

Alhumdulillah, we have arranged for two Taraweeh Jamaats:

  • First Jamaat: Main Masjid (320 CA)
  • Second Jamaat: Adjacent building (300 CA)

Both Jamaats will commence simultaneously and cover the same portion of the Quran each night, allowing you to choose the Jamaat with available space. Additionally, a tent has been set up outside to accommodate more people for Taraweeh and Iftaar, insha Allah. There will also be limited space for sisters.

We will host daily in-person Iftaar. For more details, please contact Br. Moeen at (516) 433-4141 ext. 5. We will also have spiritual talks and Quran reflections after Fajr and Isha prayers respectively. Our Maktab and Saturday School programs will continue with alternate schedules.

Housekeeping Reminders:

  1. Park legally in designated spots. If the Masjid lot is full, park on the streets without blocking driveways. Use the LIRR parking lot during Taraweeh.
  2. Keep the Masjid area clean. Please do not have food or drinks inside the Main Masjid Hall. 
  3. Avoid gathering outside the Masjid after Taraweeh and Fajr to prevent disturbing neighbors.
  4. Be respectful, kind, and considerate to the community and neighbors.
