Asalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

This past Saturday, Sept. 14, the Dar-us-Salaam Shura came together to address our community’s questions and concerns, as well as listen to any advice you had to share.

One of our community members shared a heartfelt story, recounting how he impressed he was witnessing our Al-Huda School students embodying Islam outside the confines of the classroom, while playing on the soccer field:

“I was in the back parking lot picking up my kids, and I saw a group of young boys (4th or 5th grade) playing soccer in the soccer field. As they were playing, the soccer ball got kicked into the trees and the trees pushed it back, and their Takbeer was amazing! The good behavior among the children and the Deen that is ingrained into them caught my attention. It was an amazing sight to see.”

Thank you for those who attended onsite and online, as well as to all our staff, students, and volunteers who helped bring this event together.
