January is Muslim Heritage Month in CT

Assalamu Alaikum,

Alhamdulilah, CAIR-CT was able to get a proclamation from Gov Lamont acknowledging “January of every year” as the Muslim Heritage Month in Connecticut. This is a great step forward for our community to introduce Islam and Muslim culture during the month of January through working at the local level in coordination with libraries, schools, city councils, and more. CAIR-CT will be reaching out to local mosques with a detailed strategy on how they can coordinate to make the best impact of this achievement Inshallah.
