It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: A man may be raised in status in Paradise and will say, where this came from? And it will be said, from your sons ( = male and female) praying for forgiveness for you. Saheeh Ibn Majah 3/214.
