KNOWLEDGE CORNER

Quranic Ayat/Verse

Allah sent down water from the heavens and revived the land with it after it was dead. Surely, in that there is a sign for a people who listen.

(Surah An-Nahl, ayah 65)

God sent down water, which revives the dead earth and causes plants to grow. The same way, we will be resurrected and will face a day of judgement, followed by eternity. When God sends rain and water as a life source that renews and sustains, how can one doubt that He can bring the dead back to life? There are signs of Gods Mercy, Blessings and Wisdom all around us. We just need to open our eyes and reflect.

Hadith

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) was asked about that for which people are admitted into Paradise the most, so he said:
"Taqwa of Allah, and good character." And he was asked about that for which people are admitted into the Fire the most, and he said: " The mouth and the private parts."

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2004, Book 27, Hadith 110)

Always be mindful of Allah and know that everything happening all the time is from Him. Use this awareness to steer your life towards good and away from the bad. Emulate the character of the Prophet (SAW) and be strict with your prayer. Control your tongue and dont let it lead you astray while slandering others or gossiping and protect yourself from illicit liaisons and obscenities.
