 ISB is excited to collaborate with BPFF to show the" Flying Paper".  The films are part of ISBs annual Cultural Festival showcasing the richness, diversity and unity of the Muslim community in the Boston area and worldwide.

Flying Paper is the uplifting story of young Palestinian kite-flyers in Gaza, where the fascinating kite culture is a form of creative resistance. The children are on a quest to shatter the Guinness World Record for the most kites ever flown.

The film was co-produced with young Palestinians in Gaza trained by the filmmakers through a youth media program called Voices Beyond Walls.

Abeer Ahmed is the 16-year old journalist featured in the film, who was also co-producer.

Shes safe in Gaza as of mid November, but her family home in Jabaliya refugee camp was destroyed and she had to flee to southern Gaza.

Boston Palestinian Film Festival is volunteer-driven organization running the festival showing films from and about Palestine for 17 years.  This years festival had to be done virtually in October due to the war.  However each filmmaker has given ISB permission to show these films, free of charge at ISB.
